Privacy notice
Last updated: 8 November 2026
This notice explains how The Household Book handles the information you give us when you join the waiting list. The service does not exist yet, so the waiting list is the only thing we collect information for.
Who we are
The Household Book is a planned service from Wyvern Web UK, a trading name of Marcus Chaplin. We decide how your information is used, which makes us the "controller". We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, registration number ZC277778.
Contact us by email at household@wyvernweb.uk.
What we collect
- Your email address, so we can tell you when the service launches.
- Your answer to "I am:", if you choose to give one.
- Which planned price you were shown (£19 or £29), so we can learn which feels more reasonable.
- If you arrived through a link that carries campaign details (such as a "utm_source" tag), those details.
- When you joined the list.
- To protect the form from automated abuse, a scrambled (hashed) version of your internet address. It is not stored in readable form and is deleted within 24 hours.
We do not use cookies, analytics or tracking tools on this site, and we do not store anything on your device. Our hosting providers may keep ordinary technical server logs for security.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To email you about the launch. Our legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To keep the form working and stop automated abuse. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure service.
Who else sees it
Only the person who runs The Household Book. We do not sell your details or share them for marketing. Some companies process information on our behalf, and may only use it to provide their service to us:
- Supabase, which hosts our database, in London.
- Lovable, which hosts this website.
Where a provider handles information outside the UK, we rely on the safeguards the law requires, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses with the UK addendum.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until we have told you about the launch, and then delete it within three months unless you have become a customer. If we decide not to launch, we delete the whole list within three months of that decision. The scrambled internet address is deleted within 24 hours. You can ask us to remove you at any time.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete your information;
- stop using it, or limit how we use it;
- give you your information in a portable form;
- stop emailing you, by withdrawing your consent.
To unsubscribe or use any of these rights, email household@wyvernweb.uk (for example, "Please remove me"). We aim to do it within a week, and always within one month.
If you are unhappy
Please tell us first. Our complaints process explains what happens next. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by calling 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we use your information we will update this page, and tell you by email if the change is significant.
